At the touch of a button, the Open Sesame residential door opener unlatches a locked door, then opens, pauses and closes it automatically. It is designed for doors that swing freely, such as front doors, apartment doors, office doors and bathroom doors. An electric strike in the frame releases the latch, much like being buzzed into an apartment building.

About The Open Sesame Residential Automatic Door Opener

The opener swings the door up to 120 degrees and holds it open for an adjustable 5 to 30 seconds. It runs on low-voltage 24-volt wiring, and an internal 12V battery keeps it working in a power failure. The unit stops if it meets an obstruction, and when it is not running the clutch disengages so the door works normally by hand. The steel, powder-coated housing measures 2 5/8 by 4 by 14 1/8 inches and weighs 10 pounds.

A remote control comes standard and can be handheld or mounted on a wheelchair. Open Sesame repairs or replaces factory components at no charge for the first three years.
