Open Sesame Commercial Door Opener

Priced for your door, installation as its own line

Open Sesame's Model 233 is a door operator for light commercial use: school and restroom doors, apartment lobbies, storefronts, elevators and lifts, and residential or pedestrian gates. A push pad or remote starts an open-pause-close cycle, and when someone opens the door by hand it power closes as a spring or pneumatic closer would.

  • Open-pause-close cycle
  • Power closes like a door closer
  • Variable clutch for closing speed
  • Battery backup in a power failure

About The Open Sesame Commercial Automatic Door Opener

Hold-open time adjusts from 5 to 30 seconds, and doors open up to 120 degrees. A variable clutch sets the closing speed to suit need and wind. It mounts on the door for inward-opening doors or on the lintel for outward-opening ones, hinged right or left. The steel housing is powder coated, measures 2 5/8 x 4 x 14 1/8 inches and weighs 10 lbs. An internal 12V battery keeps it working in a power failure, and it runs on low-voltage 24 volt wiring.

During the first three years, Open Sesame replaces, exchanges or repairs factory-supplied components at its discretion; batteries are excluded.

How The Work Happens

Five steps. You can stop at any of them, and nothing is charged until you have said yes to a written scope.

  1. 1

You tell us what is difficult

Not what product you think you need. The stairs, the front step, the bath, getting into the car. Working out the product is our job.

A call, not a sales pitch
  2. 2

    We come out and measure

On site, at your address, free. We check the space, the power, and the structure, and we talk through how the room actually gets used.

    Free, and no obligation
  3. 3

    You get it in writing

An itemized scope and a price, with the lead time stated honestly. The price you agree to is the price of the job. Take as long as you like with it.

    The price does not move
  4. 4

    Our technicians install it

Our own people, not a subcontractor, who stay until everyone who has to operate it can operate it confidently.

    Our own crews
  5. 5

    We service it afterward

The company that installed it is the company that maintains it. You are not handed to somebody else once the invoice clears.

    Same company, years later
