The steps to your own front door.

Porches, decks, and the flight from the driveway. Built for weather, with sealed components and a cover, straight or curved. An indoor lift moved outside does not last a season, and we will not fit one that way.

Stairlift Assessment

Answer a few questions about the staircase and the rider and see the stairlift we would recommend, with its price, installation included.

What Matters About Outdoor Stairlifts

The four things that actually decide this, rather than the four things easiest to write.

01

Weather-rated throughout

Sealed controls, corrosion protection, drainage, and a cover. This is a different build, not an indoor lift with a jacket on it.

02

Straight or curved

Outdoor flights turn as often as indoor ones. Both are available in the outdoor specification.

03

Winter is the test

Ice, damp and heat are what kill outdoor equipment. Annual service matters more here than anywhere else, and we do it.

04

Or consider a platform lift

If the person travels seated in a wheelchair, a stairlift is the wrong machine outdoors. Say so early and we will price a platform lift instead.

What Actually Stops People

These are the three things we hear most. None of them is unreasonable.

Questions People Ask

Will it survive a Georgia summer?

The outdoor build is made for it. Heat, humidity and sudden rain are the normal operating environment for these units, and the cover goes on when it is parked.

Do I need to cover it?

A cover comes with it and using it extends the life of the seat considerably. Two seconds when you park it.

What about power outside?

It needs an outdoor-rated supply, which occasionally means running one. We check that at survey rather than discovering it on the day.

Can it be removed in winter?

It is not designed to come on and off seasonally. It stays, and it works through the season.

Straight or curved outdoors?

Whichever your steps are. The same rules apply: a turn means a manufactured rail and a longer lead time.

Is a ramp cheaper?

Often, if there is room. A compliant ramp needs about twelve inches of run per inch of rise, so a four-foot rise wants close to fifty feet of ramp. Most front yards cannot take it.

Does it need a permit?

Sometimes, depending on the municipality. We handle it and we will tell you at the quote if one applies.

How long does it take?

A straight outdoor lift is usually a single visit. A curved one waits three to five weeks on the rail, then a day to fit.

The Credentials Behind The Work

Anybody can sell equipment. Installing it legally, configuring it clinically, and servicing it afterward takes credentials that have to be earned and kept current. Here is what our team holds.

Elevator Mechanic

State Elevator Mechanic Licenses

Licensed elevator mechanics, state by state. Residential elevators and platform lifts are regulated work in most jurisdictions, and this is the license that makes it legal to do.

ATP

ATP, Assistive Technology Professional

RESNA-recognized credential for evaluating a person's needs and specifying the assistive technology that fits. This is who you want configuring a power chair or a seating system.

CRTS

CRTS, Complex Rehab Technology Supplier

The credential for supplying individually configured complex rehab. It is what separates a supplier who works alongside your clinical team from one who ships a box.

CAPS

CAPS, Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist

Training in modifying a home so someone can stay in it. It is the difference between installing equipment and understanding the house it goes into.

MSE

Mobility Service Excellence

Industry service certification covering installation, maintenance, and repair standards across mobility equipment.

EPA 609

EPA Section 609

Federal certification for handling refrigerant in vehicle air conditioning. It is required to legally service a bus AC system, and it is why fleet work is something we can actually take on.
