A turn in the stairs is not a reason to move house.

Landings, quarter turns, half turns, spirals. The rail is manufactured from measurements taken off your actual staircase, which takes three to five weeks and then fits in a single day.

What Matters About Curved Stairlifts

The four things that actually decide this, rather than the four things easiest to write.

01

Measured, then built

The survey is the product. Harmar measures the Helix with a calibrated camera kit; Bruno builds the Elite Curve rail by hand in Wisconsin. Nothing is cut to fit on the day.

02

Three to five weeks

That is manufacturing time and it is the honest figure. Anybody promising you a curved lift next week is describing a straight one.

03

One day to fit

When the rail lands, the installation itself is a single day.

04

Parking chosen at survey

Where it sits at the top and bottom is decided before the rail is built, so it does not block a doorway or a landing.

What Actually Stops People

These are the three things we hear most. None of them is unreasonable.

Questions People Ask

Why is a curved lift so much more?

Because the rail is a manufactured, one-off item built to your staircase rather than cut from stock. Most of the extra cost is that rail.

Could I use two straight lifts instead?

Sometimes, where there is a proper landing with room to transfer between them. It is cheaper. It also means getting off one lift and onto another, which not everybody can do. We will tell you honestly whether it suits the person.

Does it work on a spiral?

Yes. Spirals, 90 degree turns, 180 degree turns, and multi-story runs are all within what these rails do.

Can it go outside?

Yes, in the weather-rated build. Bruno makes the Elite Curve in an outdoor version. An indoor lift put outside fails within a season and we will not fit one that way.

What if I move?

A curved rail is built for one staircase and rarely transfers to another. Worth knowing before you buy if a move is likely.

How much capacity do they carry?

The Bruno Elite Curve carries 400 lb, the Harmar Helix 350 lb. If capacity matters, that difference decides it.

Will it fit around my newel post?

Almost always, and that is exactly what the survey is for. Tight bends are what the modern rails are built to handle.

Can I see one before I commit?

Ask. We will show you the model and walk you through where the rail will actually run before anything is ordered.

The Credentials Behind The Work

Anybody can sell equipment. Installing it legally, configuring it clinically, and servicing it afterward takes credentials that have to be earned and kept current. Here is what our team holds.

Elevator Mechanic

State Elevator Mechanic Licenses

Licensed elevator mechanics, state by state. Residential elevators and platform lifts are regulated work in most jurisdictions, and this is the license that makes it legal to do.

ATP

ATP, Assistive Technology Professional

RESNA-recognized credential for evaluating a person's needs and specifying the assistive technology that fits. This is who you want configuring a power chair or a seating system.

CRTS

CRTS, Complex Rehab Technology Supplier

The credential for supplying individually configured complex rehab. It is what separates a supplier who works alongside your clinical team from one who ships a box.

CAPS

CAPS, Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist

Training in modifying a home so someone can stay in it. It is the difference between installing equipment and understanding the house it goes into.

MSE

Mobility Service Excellence

Industry service certification covering installation, maintenance, and repair standards across mobility equipment.

EPA 609

EPA Section 609

Federal certification for handling refrigerant in vehicle air conditioning. It is required to legally service a bus AC system, and it is why fleet work is something we can actually take on.
