Once hand controls are in a vehicle, a foot can still brush the pedals. MPS makes these guards to stop inadvertent contact with them, and says the Accelerator and Brake Guard is commonly recommended by driving evaluators when hand controls are installed.

About The MPS Accelerator and Brake Pedal Guards

Two versions are available. The Accelerator Guard covers the accelerator pedal alone; the Accelerator and Brake Guard covers both pedals. Either one is meant to be used together with hand controls. A Quick Release lets the guard come out easily when another person drives without it, and in most cases a qualified mobility professional can move it to your next vehicle.

MPS asks that every driver be evaluated by a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) before driving with any driving aid. All MPS products carry a 5 year limited warranty.

How The Work Happens

Five steps. You can stop at any of them, and nothing is charged until you have said yes to a written scope.

  1. 1

You tell us what is difficult

Not what product you think you need. The stairs, the front step, the bath, getting into the car. Working out the product is our job.

A call, not a sales pitch
  2. 2

    We come out and measure

On site, at your address, free. We check the space, the power, and the structure, and we talk through how the room actually gets used.

    Free, and no obligation
  3. 3

    You get it in writing

An itemized scope and a price, with the lead time stated honestly. The price you agree to is the price of the job. Take as long as you like with it.

    The price does not move
  4. 4

    Our technicians install it

Our own people, not a subcontractor, who stay until everyone who has to operate it can operate it confidently.

    Our own crews
  5. 5

    We service it afterward

The company that installed it is the company that maintains it. You are not handed to somebody else once the invoice clears.

    Same company, years later
