For drivers who need to work the gas pedal with the left foot, the MPS Left Foot Accelerator adds a pedal to the left of the brake. It is mechanically linked to the vehicle's original accelerator, so the car responds just as it would to the right pedal.

About The MPS Left Foot Accelerator

A Pedal Guard shields the original accelerator to keep it from being used. The Quick Release base lets the pedal come out when another person drives, and MPS says that in most cases the device can be moved to your next vehicle by a qualified mobility professional. It is made in the USA by MPS, a company incorporated in 1964.

MPS asks that every driver be evaluated by a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) before driving with any driving aid. All MPS products carry a 5 year limited warranty.

How The Work Happens

Five steps. You can stop at any of them, and nothing is charged until you have said yes to a written scope.

  1. 1

You tell us what is difficult

Not what product you think you need. The stairs, the front step, the bath, getting into the car. Working out the product is our job.

A call, not a sales pitch
  2. 2

    We come out and measure

On site, at your address, free. We check the space, the power, and the structure, and we talk through how the room actually gets used.

    Free, and no obligation
  3. 3

    You get it in writing

An itemized scope and a price, with the lead time stated honestly. The price you agree to is the price of the job. Take as long as you like with it.

    The price does not move
  4. 4

    Our technicians install it

Our own people, not a subcontractor, who stay until everyone who has to operate it can operate it confidently.

    Our own crews
  5. 5

    We service it afterward

The company that installed it is the company that maintains it. You are not handed to somebody else once the invoice clears.

    Same company, years later
