Vive's quad cane stands on a four-prong base for more contact with the ground than a single tip. Each prong has a non-marking, non-skid rubber tip, and the square base lets the cane stand upright on its own while staying compact enough for stairs and narrow hallways.

The base switches sides for left- or right-handed use and locks in place. Height adjusts from 29 in to 38 in in 1 in increments with a locking knob and brass pin. The frame is lightweight, corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum with a weight capacity of 250 lbs, and the contoured handle has a wrist strap.
