A wedge cushion with a pommel combines two positioning shapes. Protekt's version is high density foam, tapering from 3 in to 1.5 in or from 4 in to 2 in, with a pommel that Proactive added for hip positioning.

About The Protekt Foam Wedge Cushion with Pommel
Its firm foundation is made for sling-seat wheelchairs, where a soft seat can hammock. The wedge shape is there to keep the sitter from sliding forward.
Widths of 16, 18 and 20 in are rated 250 lbs; the 22 and 24 in widths, 500 lbs and up. It has a breathable, fluid resistant stretch nylon cover and buckles, with a 1 year warranty.
