Part air mattress, part foam: the Protekt 1st Defense puts a high density, resilient foam insert inside a dynamic air system. The pump runs a pressure redistribution mode that alternates on a preset 10 minute cycle, plus low air loss.

About The Protekt 1st Defense Dynamic Hybrid Mattress System
The foam slopes from 2 in down to 1 in at the heel area and sits in a pocket of the top cover. That cover is nylon: waterproof, vapor permeable and low shear. An air flow dial sets the pressure, and static mode firms the surface for getting in and out of bed.
The system is 36 x 80 x 7 in and rated for 350 lbs. A replacement foam insert is sold separately.
