It is cut so it will not tangle in the wheels: ties fasten it to the chair and keep the material clear of the wheels and moving parts while you roll. The poncho is waterproof coated nylon, weighs 1 pound and folds into a compact pouch that fits in a tote or wheelchair bag. Hand wash only, and let it dry completely before packing it away.
