Large mid-wheel power chairs need a hitch lift with real capacity. Harmar's AL580-HDX lifts up to 450 lb and is built for mid-wheel drive power wheelchairs with 14" drive wheels, carrying the chair outside the vehicle so the cargo space stays open.

About The Harmar AL580-HDX High Capacity Lift for Large Mid-Wheel Power Wheelchairs
The platform gives 27" of usable width on a 23" x 33" footprint, and it both lifts and folds under power. Four Q'Straint retractors, a padded hold-down arm and wheel cradles secure the chair. It needs a Class III or greater hitch and suits a variety of SUVs, trucks and crossovers; Harmar asks that compatibility be confirmed with your dealer. The lift weighs 92 lb installed. Options include a battery pack, wheelchair cover, license plate riser and swing-away.
Harmar's 3 year parts warranty is transferable when the application is approved by Harmar's Compatibility Calculator.
