This raised toilet seat sits on the bowl to add height, so sitting down and getting back up take less effort. It fits both standard (16.5 in) and elongated (18.5 in) bowls, and in most toilets Vive says the existing seat and lid can stay in place. Note that the lid will not close over it once it is on.

About The Raised Toilet Seat
It holds up to 250 pounds. Two padded handrails slide into slots on the sides and lock with a push pin, and they come off when you do not need them. There are 17 inches between the rails, which stand about 6 inches high. No tools are needed: a knob hand-tightens the seat to the bowl. At about 5 pounds, it is easy to take along when traveling.
Outside it measures 18 x 16.5 x 5 inches, with a 9.5 x 8.5 inch opening. Vive's coverage is lifetime, which Vive defines as the estimated lifetime of the product; register within 30 days of purchase.
